Nearly 70 new interactive text adventures, sometimes referred to as “choose your own adventure” stories, are now available from the 28th Annual Interactive Fiction Competition. The annual competition is presented as a public service by the Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation, and the annual competition recognizes and celebrates the realm of entirely text driven games and adventures in digital format.

The Years Most Exciting Interactive Stories

This year’s collection of stories highlight the work of a range of talented authors and creators, each of whom have put in an incredible amount of effort and skill to create some thrilling adventures that will definitely keep you intrigued. With numerous different outcomes available at your fingertips – your choices determine the next elements of the story, and is great fun for any age.

All of these adventures can be downloaded directly and enjoyed at your own pace, and make for fantastic enjoyment.

These incredibly talented writers and minds have come up with some excellent stories with plenty of twists and turns to keep your adventures entertaining.

You can download the entire archive, or choose individual adventures to suit your mood – so take the time to browse through the various titles, and choose any or all of these well thought-out stories to enjoy.

This year’s entries are a colorful collection, with playful titles like “Graveyard Strolls” and “Death by Lightning”, and each of these titles are sure to provide hours of entertainment.

If you are interested in taking part in voting and judging the competition, you are invited to participate in the process by creating an account with the IFComp and jump right in with your votes and thoughts. These authors have taken a great deal of time to put together some really entertaining experiences, and each year the prizes are allocated among all of the top submissions. Each entry has iterations of their work, and authors make fixes to their submissions as errors or necessary changes are noted – so if you want to view the latest version of the stories, with their updates, you can click through to the appropriate link directly within the specific work’s individual page.
